       His spark and drive for Shorthorns is a great loss. And Helen and
       her family, are in our thoughts as they mourn the loss of one of the   BULL SALE
       greats.                                                 We held our first on Farm Video Bull Sale at Flemington on June 7th.
                                                               The new format worked well and we sold 8 of the 10 Bulls penned.
                                                               Six sold for a top of $5,000 and an average of $4,700.

                                                               MORTON SHORTHORNS
       Jim Dromgool of Kaitaia passed away on the 4th of July, he was in   BULL SALE
       his 90th year. Our thoughts are with Shane, Dot and family.  Jim was
       a prominent commercial Shorthorn Breeder in the Northland area   8 out of 11 Bulls sold average $5,916, 4 sold to stud.
       for many decades.                                       Thank you for all our clients support.

                                                               HINEWAKA BULL SALE
       NATIONAL VIDEO SALE                                     A successful sale on June 6th saw 15 bulls sell for an average of

       Shorthorn was part of the National Video Sale held in Palmerston   $6,200.
       North on the 14th May.                                  Top price was $20,000 for Lot 2 Hinewaka Balance 72/16 purchased
                                                               by Colvend Stud, the Park family and Hiwiroa Stud, the Syme family.
       Five vendors entered 8 Bulls which were videoed for the sale but   Two other stud bulls sold, lot 5, Hinewaka Target 69/16 to Hamish
       remained at the vendor’s property.                      Brown for $12,500 and lot 15, Hinewaka Bal 30/16 to Anita Erskine
                                                               for $4,500.
       Four sold at the Video auction to a top price of $11,000.  Longview
       Meatpacker 16062 on account of S & D Dromgool was purchased   ROUGH RIDGE BULL SALE
       by Ody Bros.  C Stewart and R Proffit also made purchases.
                                                               9 out of 10 sold.  Highest price $8,500 with an average of $4,833
       Overall the sale was well attended but perhaps lacked strong

       commercial support.
                                                               11 bulls sold with an average of $7,300 and 35 heifers with an
                                                               average of $1,800.
